Europe Extension Cord, CEE 7/17 2-Wire Nongrounding Female Plug Socket
European-style 2-pole(4.8mm) plugs (without grounding)used in Class II, are manufactured according to the CEE 7/17 standard. The two cylinders are not grounded, plugs are used in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Finland. Russia are the CEE 7/4 and CEE 7/7 plugs (also known as “Schuko”). Because this standard is used so commonly throughout Europe, we refer to it as the “Continental European” standard. Both styles have two 4.8mm round contacts on 19mm centers.
